Government of India dumps new system of filing GST returns

Government of India to continue with the existing and improved GST Return Filing System, Dumps the new system of filing returns:

Government of India moves to enhance existing GST return filing system without rolling out a new GST Return filing system. New GST return filing system was supposed to be implemented in 2020. Information shared by Mr.Yogendra Garg, Principal Commissioner, GST Policy at Central Board Indirect Taxes Committee, in a webinar hosted by Assocham. He informed that the move is aimed at making GST compliance much easier.
